It’s Music Monday, f*ck you very very much!
- , 10/21/2012We kind of can’t stop listening to this lovely little jingle by Lily Allen. It’s, well, awesome. And hilarious. And weird. Check it out:

It’s Music Monday and You’ve Got Gangnam Style
- , 10/15/2012Sometimes it just feels good to be a little ridiculous. Sometimes it just feels good to shake your booty and have a little fun. We give you permission to do both this Monday, gangnam style.
Go on, hit the play button one more time. You know you want to…

Music Monday ~ Over My Head
- , 9/10/2012This song is for everyone at some point in their life.
If you needed someone or something to relate to while you’re feeling in over your head, look to The Fray. Yes, they’ve felt like they’ve been there too in relationships and the video tells a whole other story of being youthful and feeling helpless in situations (the kids taking a test in the video are kinda adorable though).
The way we see it, that dreadful feeling is unavoidable and it sucks, so look around for your escape. Play the piano, take a walk, turn up The Fray on the radio. You’re gonna get through it.

Music Monday ~ Go with the Flo
- , 8/6/2012There’s an awesome intensity in the music by Florence and the Machine. Soulful. Wonderful. Intensity. The experience of her music almost takes you to another place and lets you feel whatever you might need.
So, go with it! Let Flo take you to exactly where you need to be right now. Feel an emotional release, get excited, get pumped.
Flo is a favorite here at PKHQ, and if you haven’t incorporated her into your daily playlist, we really think you should change that. Here’s to your new music routine!

Music Monday ~ what I really really want
- , 7/30/2012Whew! Did you see the opening ceremonies to the London 2012 Olympics? So much fun. More than anything, we’d like to jet set right on over there and see the sites for ourselves, but that’s a pretty hefty price tag.
Instead, I think I’ve got a fun way to bring a little bit of London right to you. I think it’s what you want…what you really really want (that’s a hint, by the way). Enjoy!

P.S. Did you know that by the end of the year we’ll be able to experience a Spice Girls musical?
Music Monday ~ He Wasn’t Man Enough
- , 7/23/2012Say some time has passed since the breakup. Your ex has been out of the picture and you’re getting over it. But, as time has passed, another girl is now part of your ex’s life and all of a sudden everyone’s looking to you for a reaction.
This is definitely not an easy situation, but you can be strong and you can continue to move on.
With today’s Music Monday, I summon the Queen of Strong, the Queen of “I know I’ve got it going on,” Toni Braxton.
If you’ve encountered the situation above (or if you’re just looking for another jam for your playlist), give this a listen. I think I feel a Z snap coming on…

Music Monday ~ I’m Like a Bird
- , 7/16/2012It might be hard right now, but there is a sense of freedom that you can feel after a breakup. If you’re saying to yourself, “No, I don’t ever feel like I’m going to get there,” sit with us for a minute. We’re gonna give you the tools to get there, my dear.
Here’s a little something to add to your arsenal: “I’m Like a Bird” by Nelly Furtado. Nelly herself called this her “Freedom song.” I think it’s a feeling she definitely wanted to share with all of you bombshells out there.

Music Monday ~ Bulletproof
- , 7/9/2012If you’re someone who looks to independent, edgy, badass chicks for inspiration you’re in the right place. Welcome to the club, bombshell! Today we’re lovin’ La Roux. She definitely has her own style of doing things. If this is your first time to see her do her thang, you gotta appreciate her way of paying tribute to the 80′s and absolutely owning it.
What better way to introduce a little La Roux into your life than with a song that gets you excited about being stronger.
“This time, baby, I’ll be bulletproof.”
What do you love about the style of La Roux?

Music Monday ~ Don’t Call Me Baby
- , 7/2/2012Sometime in the early 2000′s, this Australian hit made it’s way into clubs all over the world. Do you remember having it on your radio or playlist? If you had no idea this band or song even existed, it’s understandable. They’re kind of a one-hit wonder. But hey, we appreciate a song we can jam to in the car complete with dance moves.
This song is mostly for fun, but if you find yourself singing along, we bet you’ll start feeling strong and independent:
It’s time you knew I’m not your baby
I belong to me, so
Don’t call me baby
No honey, you don’t need a man to call you “baby.”

Music Monday ~ Wide Awake
- , 6/25/2012It’s here! Last week, Katy Perry revealed the music video for Wide Awake. It’s definitely a change of pace from California Girls and is the perfect example for how a breakup is far from that storybook fairytale we dream about (LOVE what she does when she meets “Prince Charming” in the video).
After being snapped back to reality, it’s on to the next journey. Hopefully the latest from KP will give you an extra dose of strength to continue on with yours.
